Our Commitment to Food Safety

At Ocean Mist Farms, we take a “farm-to-fork” approach when it comes to food safety. Our goal is to provide the highest quality and safest vegetables possible — and safety begins on the farm.

By implementing an effective Good Agricultural Practices program (GAP) on the farm, and focusing on prevention, we are able to provide products that are free of microbial, chemical and physical contaminants.

With guidance from regulatory agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Department of Health Services (DHS), we’ve implemented a food-safety program that encompasses Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) at different levels of the production cycle to ensure food safety.

Through our rigorous food-safety principles and procedures, Ocean Mist Farms is able to provide our customers and consumers with not only the best quality products, but also products that are wholesome, nutritious, and safe.
