| Q: I have Acid Reflux, can i eat spinach and romaine lettuce with an after affect? are they good greens to eat??? |
A: Certain foods, drinks and/or ingredients can aggravate or cause acid reflux symptoms. Each person has a different tolerance level, so it is a good idea to keep track of foods and limit or avoid them completely if they negatively affect you.
Some of the most common foods that can cause acid reflux include: orange juice, tomatoes, onions, regular cottage cheese, wine, coffee and donuts. Generally, chocolate, foods that are high in fat, drinks with caffeine or alcohol, tomato-based products and large meals facilitate the unpleasant symptoms of acid reflux. |
