Trim ends of leaves and use whole leaves in salads or recipes.
 
Some folks like to split Romaine Hearts lengthwise, or serve whole for very impressive Caesar salads.
 
Give sandwiches extra crunch (and nutrients) by garnishing with Romaine leaves.
 
Use leaves to make “lettuce pockets.” Fill whole leaves with chicken, baked tofu, diced vegetables and nuts or your other favorite filling for a breadless sandwich wrap and interactive meal that is fun to make and eat.
