Leaf Lettuce...The Nutritious Star of a Delicious and Healthy Salad |

There’s almost something magical about Leaf Lettuce. Feel its wonderful
texture, look at its gorgeous color and savor its wonderful
taste in a salad. Every bite makes you feel like you’re enhancing
your health. What’s great is that you actually are filling your body with one of
the most nutritious Lettuces in the world. No wonder consumption of Leaf Lettuce
continues to rise as more consumers realize this variety offers the perfect
combination of superb flavor and outstanding nutrition. There
are several varieties of Leaf Lettuce, which consist of large, loosely packed
leaves joined at a stem, rather than formed into a head, like
Iceberg.
In order to grow premium Leaf Lettuces year-round, we have growing regions with ideal
climates throughout California. Ocean Mist Leaf Lettuce —
which includes such varieties as Green Leaf, Red Leaf and Butter (sometimes referred
to as Bibb Lettuce) — is hand selected, trimmed and then packed
in the field early in the morning to preserve maximum freshness.
