Serves: 4

Ingredients

5 pounds of fresh Fava Beans in the pods, grilled and shelled to yield about 1 to 1 1/2 cups (ready to eat)
2 teaspoons sea salt or any other seasoning for dipping

Directions

Grill fresh Fava Beans in pods over outside grill or inside grilling pan. Fava Beans are cooked when pods begin to char and get soft.

Remove beans from inside the pods and slip waxy skin off bean by pinching one side of bean and popping bright green tender bean from skin. Place tender green beans in Japanese style rice bowl and serve with a side of salt or any other of your favorite Asian seasonings for dipping.

A great first course or appetizer. Delicious and healthy, too!
