National Cake Pop Day
With National Cake Pop Day just a couple of days away, it's the perfect time to talk artichokes...for real! At Ocean Mist Farms we love our veggies, but we also love a little chocolate too. So when we have a chance to enjoy both, we do... especially when they're together on a stick!

Castroville Dark Chocolate Cake Pops
The unique ingredient in both recipes is cooked artichoke hearts that have been cooled and mashed. (I like to use Season & Steam artichokes, because they cook in 7 minutes in my microwave while my oven is pre-heating and I'm gathering all the other ingredients.)
Mixed into the cake pop batter, the artichoke lends a creamy, nutty flavor that pairs beautifully with the sweetness of the chocolate.
