With Christmas barely in the rear view mirror, it's already time to be putting together a party menu worthy of ringing in the new year with all your favorite people. One of the nice things about New Year's parties for me is that I don't feel the need for a sit-down menu. I like to keep things easy with lots of small bites that let my guests move and mingle while enjoying good food throughout the night.
One way that I add lots of variety to my New Year's menu is with dips. Whether for enjoying atop an artichoke leaf or with artichoke hearts mixed in, my philosophy is that there are never too many dips! :-) But before I dive into a few dip recommendations, I want to share this quick and easy video tutorial on how to steam fresh artichokes on the stovetop:
Now for the dips...let's start with a trusted favorite!
