FOOD SAFETY CUSTOMER RELATIONS COORDINATOR - CASTROVILLE, CA

The Food Safety Customer Relations Coordinator position is located in the company’s headquarters in Castroville, California. The position reports to and supports the Food Safety Supervisor and acts as a key liaison between sales and marketing for consumer requests and complaints. This position is responsible for professionally supporting customer relations and ensuring that the company is adequately providing needed information and archiving records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Facilitate the relationship between Ocean Mist and our customers

  • Address customer & consumer inquiries
    1. Respond to inquiries via email and telephone
    2. Review customer requests and save in folders
    3. Send requested information to customers
    4. Complete customer questionnaires with support of the Food Safety Supervisor

Key liaison between sales and food safety for customer requests

  • Monitor and update several customer software platforms with Ocean Mist Food Safety Information
    1. Search for records in company folders
    2. Request business records from sales if applicable
    3. Collaborate with sales for requests that involve safety and business
    4. Log progress or status for on-going projects

Monitor and verify accuracy of Azzule audit data base

  • Works closely with food safety to understand what records should be on the site
  • Communicate with Azzule technical staff as needed for resolving concerns

Address food safety related complaints

  • Answer customer questions and address concerns via phone or email
  • Communicate complaints to food safety management to investigate or complete required records
  • Save corresponding findings

Compliant trends

  • Maintain Customer Complaint Log
  • Work with Food Safety and QA to develop a reporting strategy
  • Share reports with QA and food safety

Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred or equivalent years of experience
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating system, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn new duties with minimal repetition
  • Ability to carry out defined procedures and duties with specific instructions
  • Bilingual English-Spanish a plus
