ICE INJECTOR OPERATOR - CASTROVILLE, CA

The Ice Injector Operator is responsible for icing produce for the day’s orders. Assist with maintenance and cleanliness of the ice injecting system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ice product (i.e. broccoli, sprouts, rappini, etc.)
Blow ice into trailers
Monitor chlorine & citric acid levels
Rotate product inventory
Input data into OMCM cooling systems
Maintain ice machine clean and in working conditions
Build up pallets for dry loads
Assist supervisor with maintenance of the machinery
Fill out daily equipment check list
Monitor and change forklift batteries using the hoist system as learned during trainings
Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements and Qualifications

High School diploma preferred
2 years minimum experience in Agriculture
Forklift certified and experienced
Basic math and reading skills are required
Must have knowledge of food safety procedures
Able to correctly use radio frequency handheld devices
Able to learn new computer software applications
Able to work on a rotating schedule, Monday - Saturday and occasionally Sundays too
