IRRIGATOR II - CASTROVILLE, CA

The Irrigator II is responsible for turning on pumps, injecting fertilizer, and ensuring that all crops are irrigated efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform various tasks as assigned by the Irrigation Supervisor
• Must work with all forms of irrigation including drip and sprinkler
• Maintain irrigation system
• Assist with irrigation repairs
• Must follow all safety practices and regulations
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

Job Requirements and Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an irrigator or similar experience
• High school graduate preferred
• Ability to read, write, and understand English and Spanish
• Valid California driver’s license – Class C minimum
• Must be able to work under minimal supervision
• This position requires that the incumbent work Monday through Saturday, including some Sundays and holidays
• 10 hours each day or as needed to fulfill responsibility
