The Parts Counter Clerk assists and works under the direction of the Parts Supervisor. This position is responsible for ordering, retrieving or delivering parts to vendors, job sites, shop or the main office. Additional responsibilities include maintaining inventory, use of the fleet maintenance management computer system and report writing. Reviews invoices, including vendor billing, enters data, and files invoices and parts requests. Work independently with minimal supervision. Parts counter personnel will have parts runners assigned to assist in daily work, including shop clean up. Required to guide and utilize the personnel in an effective, productive manner.
