The Receiver is responsible for receiving all incoming product, in good conditions and proper traceability to Ocean Mist Farms facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Opening/closing procedures and corrections
- Input data into Famous system from field tickets & purchased product Bill of Ladings (BOLs)
- Communicate daily with quality assurance inspectors to coordinate any hold action report and purchased product to be inspected
- Daily operate forklift and complete the forklift daily check list
- Communicate and coordinate totals with Field Supervisors and Shipping Office
- Rectify discrepancies between physical and paper inventory
- Communicate daily with Sales, Grower Accounting and Shipping
- Report daily estimates
- Coordinate field trucks
- Check in: field trucks & inspectors
- Operate scale and cash register for line trucks
- Daily rectify cash and credit cards charged with scale tickets and sign the weight scale summary of daily activity report
- Use of hand-held scan guns to consolidate partials of product in receiving A and B
- Use food link network to print traceability stickers and place on the product from lake side organics
- Send daily field pack out reports via email to the affiliated companies
- Report daily via email to the designated group when day is finished, and all commodities has been recounted
- Help in both receiving A and B based on where help is needed
- Help stack partials to complete full pallets of all commodities

Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Working knowledge of computers & software as utilized in the Cooler environment such as:
- Microsoft operating system, Famous software, alligator tech and food link software
- Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred
- Previous Agricultural experience preferred
- Able to correctly use radio frequency handheld devices
- 2 years minimum experience in Agriculture Cooling, Receiving and Shipping
- Must be available to work weekends and different schedule hours every week
- Basic math and reading skills
- Forklift certified preferred
- Ability to learn new duties with minimal repetition
- Strong interpersonal skills including ability to maintain effective working relationships with Employees, Peers, Supervisors’ vendors and customers
- Ability to work in ever –changing, fast – paced environment
- Strong knowledge in good manufacturing practices program
- High school graduate / GED preferred
