Under the general direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Safety Specialist will support the execution and implementation of the Company’s safety programs. This position will coordinate and implement safety, injury and illness prevention programs, conduct related trainings, investigate accidents and identify possible causes and recommend corrective actions.
The Human Resources Manager is a proactive business partner responsible for all aspects of managing human assets including, but not limited to, workforce planning and development; safety, WC, benefits and compliance with all state and federal laws. The Human Resources Manager is proactive in addressing Labor and Employee relations issues in a timely manner to keep Labor and employee relations harmonious at all levels.
The Truck Driver is responsible for hauling product, harvest equipment and packaging materials to the surrounding areas of California- Castroville, Coachella, and Huron; and Arizona-Yuma.
The Farm Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing farm equipment such as tractors, harvesters and pumps. This position will work in our Castroville office and report to the Tractor Shop Supervisor.
Under the general direction of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, this position will perform inspections on all commodities. Work schedule will be Monday – Saturday, with variable hours as needed to fulfill job responsibility; Sunday and holidays as required. Travel and seasonal relocation will be required to our remote facilities and surrounding areas.
The Water Truck Driver is responsible for filling the water truck daily and wetting the field roads to keep dust off our crops. Will be assigned to work outdoors in cold or hot climates and wet conditions.
The Food Safety Specialist assists and works under the direction of the Food Safety Manager of Ocean Mist Farms. This position is responsible for supporting training, record keeping and on-going implementation of the food safety program in all regions of operations in California including the Salinas Valley, Huron, Santa Maria, Oxnard, Coachella Valley Imperial Valley, Yuma, AZ
The Food Safety Manager is directly responsible for Ocean Mist Farms’ Food Safety and Organic programs. This position provides the technical expertise and management skills to administer the corporate strategy for: Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), NOP and other FSMA/EPA regulations that pertain to the farming, harvesting, cooling and transportation of our crops in Castroville and all satellite locations. In addition, supports the commodity managers and QA team with Field quality feedback. The incumbent will Manage others, including and up to, hiring, training, mentoring, developing, providing employee feedback, disciplinary communication, and conducting annual performance evaluations.
