Selection Tips
- Choose tightly bunched cabbage heads with the least amount of bruising
- Avoid withered, extremely bruised heads.
Storage and Handling
- Remove any loose, wilted leaves prior to storing
- Wrap unwashed, whole cabbage in paper towel, then place in a zip-top bag to be stored in refrigerator crisper section
- Red and Green Cabbage can last anywhere from 3 weeks up to a month in refrigerator depending on condition at time of purchase
- Napa Cabbage will last up to 1 week in refrigerator
