Campfire Artichokes

Ingredients

  • Cooked Ocean Mist Farms Artichokes, whole, with center fuzz removed (vary quantity and artichoke size according to your needs)
  • 4 Tbsp mesquite barbecue seasoning or taco seasoning (dry)
  • 2 tsp garlic salt
  • Olive oil

Directions

  1. Prior to making the recipe, visit our Cooking Class web page for a step-by-step video on how to prepare and cook artichokes.
  2. Allow the campfire or backyard grill to reach high heat.
  3. Remove center artichoke fuzz from each cooked artichoke (see page 1 for instructions).
  4. Drizzle artichokes with olive oil, being sure to coat between the petals. 
  5. Dust each artichoke with 1 Tbsp seasoning and 1/2 tsp garlic salt.
  6. Place the artichokes directly on the grill. Turn frequently until outside petals are evenly charred (about 20 minutes).
  7. Remove from grill and enjoy.
