Ingredients
- 1 bag of Ocean Mist Farms Value-Added Cauliflower Florets
- 2 Tbsp of Chicken Stock
- 2 Tbsp of Butter
- 1 Tbsp of Flour
- ½ Cup of Shredded Gouda Cheese
- 1 Cup of Heavy Cream
- 1 Tsp of Salt
- ½ Tsp of Pepper
- A pinch of Nutmeg
- ¼ Cup of Crispy Onions to Garnish
- More Salt & Pepper to taste
Directions
- In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt butter and stir in flour allowing to cook for 1-2 minutes to form a slightly nutty smelling paste.
- Pour in cream and whisk, turn the heat up slightly and continue to whisk until sauce thickens.
- Stir in Gouda cheese and spices and remove from the heat.
- Pour chicken stock over cauliflower and seal bag tightly.
- Steam in the microwave for 3 minutes on high.
- Mindfully remove the bag from the microwave and allow to sit for one minute before straining the liquid from the bag.
- Transfer contents to a serving bowl. Pour the creamy sauce over top and fully coat cauliflower then garnish with crispy onions and salt and pepper to taste.
