Quick and Easy Sesame Almond Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 (16 oz) bag Ocean Mist Farms Season & Steam Brussels Sprouts
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp low sodium soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (more or less to taste)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Spread almonds onto a baking sheet and toast for 3-5 minutes, watching carefully to make sure they do not burn.
  2. Open top of Brussels sprouts bag. Add garlic, oil, soy sauce and red pepper flakes to bag. Zip top and shake to coat Brussels sprouts.
  3. Place bag in the microwave and cook on high 3 1/2 to 5 minutes (depending on how firm you like them). Let stand at least 1 minute to cool.
  4. Pour sprouts into a serving bowl. Top with almonds and sesame seeds.
