Sweet Sesame Brussels Sprouts with Crispy Tofu

Slightly sweet Asian flavor profile can pair with familiar proteins such as salmon, chicken and tofu.

Ingredients

Peanut Sauce

  • ¼ cup Peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece Ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425ºF with the rack placed in the center position.

For the Brussels Sprouts:

  1. Follow the bag preparation instructions for the Brussels sprouts and place on a baking sheet.

For the Tofu:

  1. Toss tofu cubes into corn starch, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Place tofu cubes on the same baking sheet with Brussels sprouts.
  2. Cook time: Roast for 15-18 minutes. Brussels sprouts should golden and tender and Tofu should be golden brown and crispy.

For the Peanut Sauce:

  1. Whisk together peanut sauce ingredients in a bowl until thoroughly combined.
  2. To Finish:
    • Drizzle with peanut sauce
    • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds
