Our sustainability story, much like our recipes, includes a few important ingredients that are essential to who Ocean Mist Farms is as a company. Without these key ingredients and our loyal consumers just like yourself holding us accountable to our mission, we would not be who we are today.

Packaging and Shipping Containers

We are always looking for eco-friendly effective packaging solutions that will maintain product freshness and quality from the field to your table.  Our recyclable corrugated cartons, made from recycled raw materials, are used with our smaller retail chains. For our retail partners who are equipped to manage inventory and return processes, we utilize reusable plastic containers (RPCs).

Community Relations

We are regularly engaged in community initiatives to protect our natural resources, alleviate hunger, prevent food waste and give back to our community by supporting and partnering with several key organizations.

• The Elkhorn Slough Restoration Project helps restore wetlands and improve water quality entering the Monterey Bay.
• Ocean Mist Farms donates about 225,000 pounds of fresh produce to Ag Against Hunger and California Association of Food Banks repurposing surplus produce to nutritious food for families in need.
• Through our Ocean Mist Farms Academic Scholarship Program and our continued support of ag education in local schools, we enrich current and future students so they may reach their education and professional goals.
