The ART-ichoke of Soup

Written by Ocean Mist Farms. | February 20, 2019

Mother Nature doesn't always get the memo that we've had enough winter. However, it makes the perfect excuse for soup season to continue in your kitchen. For me, there's nothing quite like coming home from a long day to a steamy, hot cup of soup.

Here are a few soup-er recipe ideas that are sure to keep you warm and toasty these last few weeks of winter:

Artichoke Clam Chowder

Clam Chowder is a classic dish that I frequently enjoy when visiting the New England area, but I also don't like to wait for my east coast travels to enjoy this dish. When I enjoy it at home, I prefer this Artichoke Clam Chowder for a little something extra I usually can' t get in a restaurant.  It's a go-to comfort food when I'm sick, when it's freezing outside, or when I'm just craving the rich, creamy texture.

Artichoke Sourdough Bisque

Move over lobster, artichoke bisque is in! This classic restaurant dish isn't just for seafood lovers anymore.  You don't even have to break out the butter for the sourdough bread, just dip it into the soup for maximum deliciousness!

Artichoke Tortilla Soup

Sometimes, the best art is the simplest art. Tortilla Soup is one of my all-time favorite soup recipes - it's a deceivingly simple combination of veggies, broth, and herbs that can be as mild or as spicy as you like. This recipe has always been one of my kids' favorite soups - perhaps because of the fresh avocados and tortilla strips they love to pile on top!
