This year’s Artichoke Festival was a resounding success for the community! The weather was perfect, the food phenomenal and the entertainment spectacular! Here’s just a pinch of what happened.
Belly’s full of delicious artichoke delicacies is what this festival is all about. Cupcakes, Sausage, Deep Fried Artichokes – Oh My! My personal favorite, that I took home for dinner each night, is the artichoke burritos. Chock full of beautiful and delicious baby artichokes made lovingly by Julia Perez from the Ocean Mist Farms Sales team – yummo!
From Lady Gaga to Bruno Mars (tribute bands that is), from Martial Arts to Mariachi, the stage was full of music and entertainers to enjoy in sun .... while eating artichoke delicacies.
The first annual Quilt Challenge and the annual Agro Art Competition showcased the talents of local artists of all ages. The Kids Zone and the Wine & Beer Garden were busy each day with respective age groups enjoying a few of their favorite things.
And last but certainly not least, the Chef Demo Room was buzzing each day with crowds learning new and delicious ways to enjoy our favorite thistle.
