Artichokes - Any which way and more! That is the unofficial theme of this festival that pulls out all the stops to entertain and educate about artichokes and where our favorite thorny thistle is the center of attention. This is the 59th year, when artichoke fans come together to enjoy all-things-artichoke and raise money for Castroville and the surrounding communities. Over the years, The Festival has been able to donate proceeds to several worthwhile organizations. You can learn more about the Mission and Purpose of the Festival here.
Enjoy live music, featuring Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars tribute bands. Shop the Farmer’s Market for locally grown and harvested fresh vegetables, including artichokes of course! Enjoy artichoke burritos, cupcakes, bisque, sausage, and deep fried in the relaxing tree-shaded food court.
Stroll through the beer and wine garden and taste the bounty of our surrounding wine region and enjoy locally crafted brews and spirits. Bring the little ones to enjoy kid-sized entertainment on the Family Stage or in the Kids Zone. Enjoy chef demonstrations from some of the area’s finest who can show you how to use an artichoke in your kitchen and impress your family and friends with your artichoke know how!
