Holiday Breads

Written by Ocean Mist Farms. | December 7, 2021

There is no doubt that the holidays are a time for baking, baking, and more baking! From muffins to cornbread, there is always something delicious to bake around this time of the year. Whether you like to bake traditional bread on a cozy morning or watch cooking shows while you figure out the ins and outs, we have the list for you, and you just know that my suggested bread recipes have veggies!

Savory Artichoke- Parmesan Muffins

Starting off with the cutest Artichoke- Parmesan Muffins. These are not only the perfect size but they are tasty and great for on the go. These are the ultimate holiday bread in my book because they are convenient and bite-sized. I will definitely be bringing these to my holiday family gatherings this year!

Artichoke Irish Soda Bread

This fluffy and crispy bread is absolutely delicious and there is no "kneed" to wait for it to rise. This bread is simple and made with even simpler ingredients. Making bread may seem like a tough task to pull off, but with this Artichoke Irish Soda Bread, it could not be easier! 🍞

Fennel Skillet Cornbread

Although this may not be what you traditionally think of when you think of holiday bread, cornbread is perfect for the holidays! Cornbread has many faces because you can add endless amounts of different flavors to a basic cornbread recipe to match the flavor profile you like.  This recipe calls for fennel and bacon which make for savory and bold-flavored bread. I also enjoy making cornbread with Jalapeno and hot honey. What is your ingredient list for cornbread? Besides creamy buttermilk of course. 🌽

Italian Veggie Breakfast Bread

I had to save the best for last; this Italian Veggie Breakfast bread is so moist and packed with tons of nutritious vegetables including Brussels Sprouts, Artichokes, and Fennel. It is also high in protein and makes for the perfect breakfast this holiday season. I like to grab a cup of coffee and a slice of this delicious treat to kickstart my day.
