Meet the Authors

Adrienne Saldivar-Meier is a professional home cook and professional recipe developer for America’s top agricultural growers, including Ocean Mist Farms. She has written hundreds of recipes for the home cook and has won the Marketing Excellence Award from Produce Business for her creation of Ocean Mist Farm’s artichoke recipe, “Chokes & Chili”. Adrienne conducts cooking classes in her coastal home along the Monterey Bay of California and offers cooking retreats in her Pacific Northwest Log Lodge outside of Spokane, Washington.

Growing up on California's central coast, I enjoyed delicious artichokes around the family dinner table and always on Christmas Eve! It is beyond perfection that I now market artichokes for a living and get to share the Ocean Mist Farms story and my love of all things fresh.

My earliest memory of Ocean Mist Farms was growing up in Castroville, CA. and being surrounded with beautiful artichoke fields. Surprisingly, I never thought I would work for the largest grower and shipper of fresh artichokes in the United States. Working here has made me see things in a fresher, healthier perspective and has helped in influencing me and my family to eat more produce. I hope you enjoy learning about Ocean Mist Farms family and the vegetables we grow!

Julie has been connected to Ocean Mist Farms for half of her life! When she was 9, she participated in the Artichoke Festival’s Agro-art competition for the first time, and every year until she went to college in Chicago. Now, two years after her summer internship with us, she’s officially aboard our marketing team full-time. Enjoy her perspective of life in the produce lane!

Kaleigh is a registered dietitian on a mission to help you find your bliss in the kitchen. With simple and delicious real-food recipes and easy tips, you can stop worrying and start celebrating the joy of food!

Kelsey loves to share her journey to find balance in health and how learning a bit more about food can make a drastic difference in your daily life. She believes that we can get through this crazy life, one Brussels sprout at a time, and of course cheers to it with some wine on Friday night!
