Crowd Pleasing Crispy Brussels

Brussels sprouts are a very versatile vegetable and are known for their bold, nutty, and smokey taste. They are a great, crowd-pleasing addition, especially when I have friends and family over. I personally enjoy using Brussels as a base for a "power bowl". I simply roast my Brussels sprouts and throw them in a bowl. From there, I  add a variety of toppings; this can be anything from avocado and Asian-style shrimp to a chipotle ranch with BBQ chicken.

It is simple ingredients like extra virgin olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon that really elevate the taste of roasted Brussels sprouts. Here are some techniques that I like to use when roasting my Brussels sprouts to perfection.
