Why We Love Air Fryer Veggies: Brussels Sprouts

If you don't have an air fryer already or missed our previous artichoke air fryer blog post, let me tell you it's seriously one of the best ways to get those oven-roasted veggies meal-prepped in a fraction of the time! Next up in our air fryer veggie series is one of my favorite foods to cook in the air fryer- Brussels sprouts!

Brussels sprouts are typically halved for air fryer cooking, but I even love using our Season & Steam SuperShreds to get them nice and crispy for the perfect salad base or hash. Read on to learn the basic air fryer method for brussels sprouts and a few of my favorite tried and true recipes once you have the basics down!

Method: Air-Fryer Brussels Sprouts Basics

Brussels sprouts are versatile, appetizer-worthy, and the perfect size for achieving the perfect air-fryer crisp! We recommend The Kitchn's method for frying Brussels sprouts, which starts with a thorough wash, followed by trimming and halving each Brussels sprout (or use our pre-cut, ready to eat Season & Steam product). Next, toss the prepared Brussels sprouts in olive oil and salt before laying them out in the frying basket in a single layer. Set the timer for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure an even crisp. That's it!  Learn the basics from The Kitchn here: Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts Recipe | Kitchn

When you're ready to get fancy, try NYT Cooking's glaze that creates these salty, tangy, garlicky sprouts. You can make the glaze while the Brussels sprouts cook in the air fryer, which means this dish comes together in just 20 minutes. Serve over rice with protein of choice and you're looking at the perfect meal that's even easier (and healthier!) than take-out! 😍
